Monitoring systems allow systematic observation of physical or chemical process changes occurring in industrial facilities and processes. These changes can be signals from measuring instruments, sensors, control instruments or analysis instruments. Monitoring systems are very important in detecting defects, determining root causes, process tracking, efficiency optimization studies and ensuring product quality continuity.
With the development of sensor technologies, the variety of sensors that can be installed in plants and machines is increasing, and this development allows condition monitoring systems to work on more detailed data.
In particular, online condition monitoring systems minimize intervention times by detecting anomalies in a process or machine in real time. As a result of the widespread use of industrial IoT analysis methods, condition monitoring systems have formed the basis of predictive maintenance studies. Thanks to the developed models, the faulty part of a process or the broken part of a machine can be detected before a problem occurs. Prospective predictions can be made by evaluating the data regarding the current and past state of the process or machine. These predictions ensure the failure to be repaired before it happens, thus allowing unplanned downtime to be avoided.

Electricity consumption is one of the leading factors in operating costs. Increasing energy efficiency both reduces operating costs and saves unnecessary energy consumption.
Our customer serving in the financial sector has more than 900 ATM machines in different locations. 35% of this figure consists of unshared cabins serving outdoors. Each cabin operates air conditioning units, security systems and network systems that contain various sensors and equipment, apart from the ATM machine. Considering the geographical and social differences of the locations where the cabins are located, it is seen that all of them will have different consumption values.
We started the study with the independence of energy consumption data specific to equipment in 5 plot locations. We have automated the operation of systems with high energy consumption according to the environmental conditions, and we have ensured that they are monitored over the central system, taking into account security factors.
As a result of the studies carried out in plot locations, 10-15% energy efficiency has been achieved in specific locations. Especially considering the operating frequencies of air conditioning systems that differ according to geographical and climatic conditions, different capacity selections were made and investment costs were reduced. Thanks to the reporting of the ATM machine operating status to the center, it has been observed that the downtime times are shortened by 20%. Closed system video and security systems have been integrated into the central system, enabling faster action in possible situations.
